The '80s - Desert Racing

1981 Score Baja Internacional, better known as the Baja 500. Notice the Uvex goggles and ultra-trick plastic Scott boots. I rode for Montclair Yamaha under the "Floyd's Boys" banner.

1982 Cal City Gran Prix. A gallon and half of gas on the front end taught you how ride!

1986 Training Wheels Enduro. This was right after the ISDE in Italy. This Honda CR125 was one of the best motorcycles I ever raced. I rode it at the Six Days and got home reassembled it and raced it the rest of the year including Barstow to Vegas. I earned a National Reliability Championship, a District 37 #1, a ISDE Silver Medal, and a B2V Class win on it.

1980 - Racing on a budget! This bike was pieced together. It was a YZ125 frame and suspension with an IT175 motor with a YZ ignition - That bike would rev! It was hard to ride because of that but it got me a #3 that year. Check out the leathers - good ole' Levi's. It was a style back then.
