| 1 | Team of 2 or 3 max - Your wingman! You are responsible for each other. |

| 4 | First vehicle off 15 minutes before sunrise for start location |
| 5 | Wingman starts 1 minute later, second wingman 1 minute after first wingman, then 2nd group 5 minutes after the first rider of previous group. |
| 6 | Liaison Stages are not competition stages. |
| 7 | Liaison Stages have a time limit to reach the next stage. You are required to stay on route in a liaison stage. |
| 8 | Upon arrival at a Special Stage, vehicles will be lined up and started in the order of arrival at the stage start, then released 1 minutes intervals. |
| 9 | Special Stages are timed stages via GPS data. |
| 10 | Australian start rules apply, which means that the last vehicle in will be the first vehicle out the following morning. |
| 11 | Bailing out of a stage will incur a penalty of double the skipped sections time. |
| 12 | Any vehicle out 30 minutes after sunset (finish location time) will incur triple the last section time. |
